maybe it’s just me, but i cringe a little when i see those blackout poems.
it upsets me to see a whole page of a novel crossed out in black marker so no one can read what it used to say. maybe the poem is really lovely and a work of art, but could the lines not be highlighted or underlined instead? because all those words that have just been removed, they’re someone else’s art. and no matter how worthless you think a book is, it’s someone else’s favourite story. i just can’t help but see it as a crime of some sort.
I want to start a collection of this book, from all different times with different covers. I can’t even find one copy, though, in any bookstore. I ordered one a few weeks ago, but they never called to say it came in. I hope I can find one soon!

banned books
I wanna read every single banned book out there, I wanna know why they were and I wanna know the authors perspective and what she/he was saying. I just wanna read the literature that cause such an uproar that they had to hide it like the ark of the covenant.
