We need a Boston Tea Party of our own

238 years ago a major event that shaped america into a country occurred, this action was the Boston Tea Party. On December 16, 1773 colonist went aboard 3 ships and destroyed taxed tea that was suposed to be return to Britain, This event was a huge factor leading into the American revolution.  This event was the cause of unfair taxation by Britain on its imported tea to the colonies which they appealed but weren’t being taken seriously until these actions occurred.

In all it has me thinking, why don’t we take action.  Just like the colonist they fought against this law, they did it in a civilized way just to not be heard.  Just as us in modern America, we aren’t being taken seriously.  We went and protest just for the government to make jokes out of it, saying that the only thing we’re doing is annoying the people in the neighborhood, that the only people in the crowds are homeless bums and worst that they’re jobs out there but the only ones being made are for Subways, Starbucks and Mcdonalds.  Those jobs aren’t gonna support a family, those jobs aren’t gonna allow you to live in house/apartment and for all the people who are busting their ass trying to obtain a higher degree those jobs won’t pay off your loans.  America gets more and more in debt, they spend more money on wars then education, they talk about how people on wealth fare are stealing the cash when we have politicians making over 400 grand living in their mansions with a retirement package not getting anything done.  Our social security is gone and healthcare reform never came close, this government is just shitting on us all and the future.  We need a massive change or a new government in all.

I feel bad for Obama

I really feel bad for Obama, us as Americans really screwed him over.  Although I believe Obama promised to much while coming into presidency he did have plans of action to get them threw.  Whenever he would create a bill for it to be pass it would be filibustered (vetoed) by the House and Senate which had enough republicans seats on both to destroy anything that he was trying to get passed.  So when it came our time to help out Obama with election time and get more democrats into both of the senate and house we just voted in more republicans because Obama wasn’t getting what he promised done quick enough.  With that being said, us as people destroyed any chance of Obama getting things done his way and the only way he could make life a bit better for us Americans was giving into many of the republicans request like extending the deficit cap, extending the war and not being able to tax the top 1% while having to give up many things we wanted life medicare and making sure our social security would be around for many more decades.

So while us as people go criticize him and call him a puppet, just know that he was fucked from the start and our eagerness to give up on him when things weren’t going right is the reason we are in this position.  So when it comes down to it, OBAMA DIDN’T FAIL AMERICA, AMERICA FAILED OBAMA.

Protest

Protest never work. As much as you try and rally people to fight a cause that will benefit the many, to many people rather go along with the system because they believe authority is right and not flawed… we got to many uncle toms(in personality not race) and not enough people with back bones.

Secrets of the 99%

I am the 99%

So are you.

I sometimes wonder, whether many people here in “Old Europe” can be that ignorant, not realizing, that this poverty is already here - that they are already caught in the same trap, as described here - that the “business as usual game” paid by them should get finished by them as well - ASAP. But - maybe they are trapped in their fears - “German Angst” running the place. Might change soon, as what we’re facing now will affect the people here in the same way, citizens of the US got trapped in 2008. A late wake-up call from hell - caused by ignorant greedy people - a system in decadency - turning into free fall.

Thanks for the commentary Stefan, we need every voice on the people’s side to drown out the nay-sayers.
