Words don’t explain how much I miss Steve jobs and as I watch this interview it kills me that one of the last real innovators is gone. He did more then escalate technology but added creativity and soul to it and that’s what make his accomplishments so perfect. He looked at technology and wondered not just how can people benefit from it but how can we make this piece of equipment more human like and more personal. I honestly miss this man with a passion. The same way apple was when he left the first time is exactly the same way they are becoming now. They have fallen into a plateau and their innovations are just minor tweaks to carry them on for another couple of years but in the long run, without jobs I don’t have much more to look forward to in technology. As of now I can just hold on to the past for a bit longer and live through these relics but I can’t see products with this amount of passion and intimacy coming out again for a while.

Apple’s Oct 4 keynote
Was really sick all day so I thought I would take this time to catch up on the Apple Keynote from Oct 4th, with that being said without Steve Jobs the presentation didn’t have the same feel as previous keynotes did. The new ceo also seems more retail orientated then Steve was and is more focused on expanding the company worldwide and gaining profits which kinda sucks when Steve was more about the technology and how the everyday person will benefit from using it.
With that being said this was one of the most amazing updates they had, the Iphone 4s could of been called the Iphone 5 with all the upgrades in it. Even though the appearance was exactly the same the real upgrade was the specs, an upgrade in megapixels, hd camera, phone antenas, battery life and the A5 chip enhanced the speed and capabilities of what the iphone 4 should of been able to do from the start. Now face time will be clear, videos will be clear and make the pocket camera a disposable as this phone competes with it.
The biggest update although was the voice recognition which was first shown to us back in the release of the iphone 3g, now your iphones “humble assistant” Siri as stated by apple will help you with your day to day objectives. First off Siri is capable of recognizing speech patterns that aren’t of proper dialect but it gets better as Siri has Artificial intelligence and will keep track of who people in your lives are like molly in this instance was his wife. Siri will learn about you as time passes. It is also capable of setting up reminders, sending messages, schedule meetings, finding information (like soul food restaurants in NY), search/look up information for you and much more. The only thing with Siri is that it is a beta as of now which means their is only a few things you can ask it right now but in time it will get better like most of Apples applications.
Hopefully with the passing of Steve Jobs Apple can still enhance technology every year the way I and many people have come accustom, although it will be large shoes to fill from an amazing visionary. Even Disney had to move on and hopefully like disney, apple can make the creator proud.
Reblog this and show appreciation for Steve Jobs who died earlier today. Apple won’t be the same without him.
Its not just apple, If you ever seen “meet the Robinsons” its kinda like the biography of jobs. Technology in all will be in a stand still for a while.

Mike Matas: A series of photos Steve Jobs took in my office testing Photo Booth filters in 2005. Rest in peace.
Holy cow. The news is of course sad, but this hit me really hard for some reason.
There is something about the Photo Booth filters that brings out the teenage girl in all of us. Steve Jobs was no different.
I always had this love for science and technology so Steve passing away is like Michael Jackson passing away for some people. He brought james bond technology to life, show that the limits of what can be created doesn’t exist, advanced technology when it was in a major stand still and most of all a passion for it. He could of easily sold every product made for thousands more but try to find ways to provide it to people for a cheaper price, He also gave back to the community allot which is always is a plus. People keep on saying Jobs was like Edison and nothing can be more far from wrong, Edison was a business man and jobs was a creator who wanted to push things further….If Jobs is to be compared to anyone, Then Walt Disney is the man jobs closely resembles.
