Devolution of curiosity
One thing about the human species that differentiates us from other mammals and is the basis of our evolution is the process to ask why instead of seeing things as it is. Our curiosity is the reason why we came so far and the reason we want more, but as time passes peoples thinking process has started to change to not why and what but how and where and its stop us from moving on. Take with oil, it’s a source of energy needed to run many of the electrical components in our daily life but instead of asking why it’s important and what’s in it that makes it important, people are asking how do I keep going and where can I get it. If we kept on asking why then the possible solution would be finding renewable sources that would replace a substance that is important because it’s slippery while staying cool, clean and protect many of the parts in our machines and what we can do is by not seeing oil as an almighty element that is the only way to carry on with life but as a source to break down and find out each component in it that makes it important to us and duplicate for our own use. The questions we wonder as a civilization aren’t to hard to answer but it’s the matter of asking the right question, we tend to ask how or where we can find answers instead of why and what and trying to innovate our own and I believe our lack in curiosity and dependence to rely on others and knowledge that we already have is a key factor of why we are going threw not just the economic state that we are in but also the global as well.
